Work Done: Hang Whiteboard

I called Handyman connection yesterday to do a simple job of hanging a whiteboard in my office.  They offered to send someone right away.  I wasn’t prepared for that quick of a response, so I made an appointment for the next day.  Doug showed up at exactly the time we agreed on.  He was friendly and knowledgeable.  He came prepared with the tools and the parts that he would need to do the job.  I ended up getting to hang a few pictures as well while he was here.

I have used Handyman Connections before and I will continue to use them for jobs, large and small.

Removal of 1 Ceiling Fan, Assembly and Installation of 2 New Ceiling Fans.  
After visiting the Handyman Connection website, I placed a service request online.  I was contacted the next business day and scheduled the installation for the following week.  Don R. arrived on time, surveyed what needed to be done, provided me with a competitive quote, and then started to work.  The install was completed within three hours and to my satisfaction!  Don R. removed the used boxes and tools from both work areas giving me an opportunity to vacuum each area before moving the furniture back into place.  The new fans work great and are an attractive addition to my home.

Work done:  Removed and replaced five ceiling fans. Removed shower door and re-grouted tile.

Comments:  John was friendly, respectful and professional. He spent all day at our house assembling and installing ceiling fans. He also did a beautiful job removing a glass shower door and restoring the tub tile. We plan on using him for more projects in the near future.

Work: I had my stairs, door to the attic replaced.

Comments: The first day Stephen came out on time and checked out what he needed. Then on the 2nd day he showed. He installed the stairs with a helper. But then he noticed the door hindge was broken. He had to call Home Depot and figure out what to do. He returned the 3rd day(on time) and took down the defective stairs and exchanged them for a good pair. He did not charge me for the reinstallment.

Work:  Install 8 ceiling fans in a brand new home. All ceiling connections were previously blocked and wired for ceiling fans.

Comments:  Job got off to a rocky start but finished up fine. Jim arrived early. There was a little confusion on his part about one of the fan installs on a vaulted ceiling. I had informed them when I made the appointment that one of the ceiling fans that I needed installed was on a vaulted ceiling-14 feet height. When Jim saw the location, he informed me that the ceiling was at least 16 feet high and that he would not be able to do that particular fan install. I informed him that I had told the company this when I made the order. Jim told me that he was instructed on the work order (he even showed me the work order) that the vaulted ceiling was 14 feet high. He again informed me that ceiling was at least 16 feet height and that he did not have a ladder with him that can do the job. I offered to measure the height for him to prove that it was not that high. He agreed but only if we used his tape measure. We measured it and it was 13 feet, 6 inches high. Jim then agreed that the height was less than 14 feet and continued on with the job. He finished up the rest of the installs without any problems or issues.
